Books Read: Haley Hill - It's Got to Be Perfect

When Ellie Rigby hurls her three-carat engagement ring into the gutter, she is certain of only one thing, that she has yet to know true love.

Following months of disastrous internet dates and conflicting advice from her dysfunctional friends, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Although now, instead of just looking for a man for herself, she's certain her life's purpose is to find deep and meaningful love for all the singles in the world.

Five years on, running the UK's biggest matchmaking agency, and with thousands of engagements to her name, she has all the answers she needs. She knows why eighty-five percent of relationships fail. She knows why twenty-eight is the most eligible age for a woman. She knows that by thirty-five she'll have only a thirty-percent chance of marriage.

Most of all, she knows that no matter what, it has to be perfect. Or does it?

I really wasn't sure what to expect from It's Got to Be Perfect by debut author Haley Hill but after reading the blurb I thought it would be an entertaining read and it certainly lived up to my expectations.

At the start of the book Ellie is happily engaged, or so she thinks, and starts to get carried away with planning her dream wedding but things don't go quite to plan and she soon finds herself newly single and back on the dating scene.

But after one disastrous date after another, she decides to set up her own dating agency to help other singletons like herself find love and maybe find her own Mr Right at the same time.  What follows was a hilarious tale of the highs and lows of the dating scene and her quest to find the perfect partner for her clients.

As I was reading I found myself cringing at some of the scenarios that characters found themselves in and laughing like a loon at others, It's Got to Be Perfect was the perfect escape I needed this weekend to take my mind off a few things.

This book was such an interesting insight into the world of dating agencies and it's obvious that Haley Hill's own experiences of running a successful agency helped sculpt this book into the entertaining read that it is, I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next.

Haley is also running a giveaway alongside the tour for 3 signed copies of her book, simply enter via the Rafflecopter link below. Giveaway open to UK residents only.
