Books Read: Lorraine Wilson - Rebellion of a Chalet Girl

Always the Chalet Girl…

Year round chalet girl Tash doesn’t do attachments—she’s learned the hard way that relationships of any kind never last. But when self-made millionaire and hit TV star Nathaniel Campbell arrives to spend a month at Chalet Repos, she’s tempted to reconsider her no-strings rule…

Tash and Nate may be from different sides of the tracks, but the connection between them is undeniable! And Tash soon realises that one hot night with Nate will never be enough. But can Nate ever think of Tash as more than a fling, especially once the truth about her past comes out?

The Chalet Girls are back! Set in the exclusive Swiss ski resort of Verbier, winter playground of the rich and famous, ‘Rebellion of a Chalet Girl’ is the latest addition to the fabulous ‘Chalet Girl’ series.

Lorraine Wilson is back with another fun novella in her Chalet Girl series, Rebellion of a Chalet Girl.  But the great thing about this series is that each novella is a standalone story so it doesn't really matter whether you've read all them or just a few, they can be each read on their own merit although the more you read the more you get a feel for the secondary characters that might crop up.

Longtime chalet girl Tash has a tough girl exterior but it's all a front to protect herself which at work means that she'd much rather blend into the background and be one of the girls so the last thing she wants is to be asked to be given the sole responsibility of looking after an important and influencial guest, handsome TV personality Nate Campbell.

The chemistry between Tash and Nate seemed to knock them both for six, neither wanting or expecting such intense reactions.  Nate is a workaholic who is completely focused on making a successful career for himself so hasn't time for relationships whilst Tash has earnt herself a bit of a reputation as a love 'em and leave 'em type of girl as she doesn't want anyone to get too close to see the real her.

As the story progressed we see the layers unfold with Tash, as the will they/won't they relationship with Nate intensified, and we get glimpses into her past to see why she has always been so guarded.  And as for Nate it was great to see that there was a lot more to him than first meets the eye, he too has had his own issues that have made him so driven to succeed.

I'd definitely go as far to say that Rebellion of a Chalet Girl is my favourite of the three books in the series that I've read as it seemed a lot more emotion driven than the others.
