Books Read: Victoria Fox - Temptation Island

Source - Received from PR company to review

WELCOME TO PARADISE Only the rich are invited... only the strongest survive.

Fame.  Money.  Success.  Lori wants them, Aurora is being destroyed by them and Stevie's got them at her best friend's expense.  These three women are drawn unwittingly to the shores of Temptation Island, all looking for their own truth.  But they discover a secret so shocking, there's no turning back.  It's wicked, it's sensational.  Are you ready to be told?

But the glittering waters drown dark secrets.  The island promises the one thing money can't buy - and the price is devastating...

Having read and loved Hollywood Sinners last year, and seen the synopsis for this book, I had high expectations for this book and overall I wasn't disappointed.

The book follows three central characters who are all completely different with nothing in common; Aurora, a spoilt rich kid who is going off the rails, Lori, from the wrong side of town but wishing to escape from the drudgery of working in the salon with her step-family, and Stevie, who has moved to the U.S to try and make it as an actor.

At first glance there doesn't appear to be any connection between these 3 women but we soon find out through the twists and turns in the plot that the link is the enigmatic and mysterious JB Moreau and the island getaway of Cacatra.

The story is jam-packed full of sex, secrets and scandals which are the classic backbone of any bonkbuster novel and there is certainly an interesting mix of characters, some that you'll love and others that you definitely won't!

If I had to say anything negative I guess it would have to be that the title of the book is a little misleading as it seems to suggest that the story takes place on the 'temptation island' but that's not the case.  The majority of the storyline takes place in Los Angeles and not on the island of Cacatra itself but this is just a minor point and didn't put me off the story.

I'd like to thank Becky at Midas PR for sending me a copy of this book to review.  If this is a book you'd like to read, why not head to Amazon where it's available in paperback or e-book format.
