Books Read: Lisa Dickenson - The Twelve Dates of Christmas: Dates 3&4 and Dates 5&6

What is this huge secret Nick is planning to tell Claudia?

As the day of her 'date' with Nick arrives, Claudia can't help letting her imagination run away with her. And try as she might to stop them, Claudia's hopes for what the evening has in store are very high. So when Nick arrives to pick her up, there is a lot riding on what's going to happen next. It's a shame that Nick has no idea what Claudia is thinking...

Seth and Nick. Nick and Seth. Seth. Nick. Nick. Seth.

Nick and Seth have never warmed to each other but they've always made the effort for Claudia's sake - and now they don't have to. So when after a disastrous trip to Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland Claudia is suddenly faced with the two men at the same time in the same room she honestly doesn't know what to do. She's not ready to face up to what happened on her date with Nick but she's not that keen on seeing Seth either. Things are about to get very awkward...

As I didn't get around to reviewing last week's installment of The Twelve Dates of Christmas I am combining the review for Dates 3&4 with Dates 5&6 which was published yesterday.

When Nick asks Claudia to go with him to a party at the the Royal Ballet Company and tells her he has a surprise for her, her imagination runs riot but the reality is nothing like her fantasy but it does give her an interesting dilemma to think about.

After having gone on a date with best friend Nick which didn't exactly go to plan, Claudia surprisingly agrees to go on the blind date that her friend Penny has set up for her.  But when she turns up at the Winter Wonderland for her date with Eddie the last thing she expects is for them to have company and it probably wasn't such a good idea to go on the Ferris Wheel with a hangover from the night before...

The start of the third installment begins with Claudia's worst nightmare, both Nick and Seth in the same place having both come to her rescue after her disastrous blind date!

After finally getting rid of Seth she agrees to let Nick take her home but then sends him packing too as she needs some time on her own to think.  The next morning she wakes up feeling refreshed and, after a surprise from Nick's mum Christine, she decides to contact Nick to meet up but once again their 'date' leaves her feeling confused as to the status of their friendship especially after her friend Penny rings with some news of her own...

Needing something else to take her mind off Penny's surprise announcement and Nick, she decides to take her next date into her own hands and asks out Billy, the Australian barman who she met on the night that she broke up with Seth.  But once again this date doesn't exactly work out as planned, is she ever going to be happy again?

It's really hard to write a review for this series without giving too much away but suffice to say I'm really enjoying reading about Claudia's different dates and cannot wait to see what's in store for her next!
