Books Read: Melissa Foster - Destined for Love (Love in Bloom: The Bradens, book 2)

Rex Braden is wealthy, hard working, and fiercely loyal. Sweat at his brow, he works the family ranch by day, then kicks back at night with part time lovers who require nothing more than his physical presence a few times each week. But that was before. Before Jade Johnson, the daughter of the man his father has been feuding with for over forty years, moves back into town.

After ditching a horrific relationship--and her veterinary practice in the process--Jade Johnson returns to the safety of her small hometown and finally finds her footing. That is...until her horse is injured and Rex Braden comes to her rescue. The last thing she needs is a bull-headed, too-handsome-for-his-own-good Braden complicating her life.

Despite the angry family history, sparks fly between Rex and Jade, and attitudes follow. Fifteen years of stifled, forbidden love stirs a surge of passion too strong for either to deny--and the rebel in each of them rears its powerful head. Loyalties are tested, and relationships are strained. Rex and Jade are about to find out if true love really can conquer all.

Love in Bloom is a nine book series from Melissa Foster featuring the Snow and Braden families.  The first three books featured the Snow Sisters and the remaining books will follow the Braden's who we first met in Lovers at Heart, the previous book in the series.

This story revolves around Rex Braden and Jade Johnson whose fathers have been feuding since long before they were born so even though both have had crushes on each other since they were teenagers they've not been able to pursue a friendship let alone a relationship.

After Jade returns home to mend her heart following a nightmare break-up she bumps into Rex and both realise that the attraction between them from all those years ago is still there but even more powerful than before.  But are they willing to pursue a relationship if it means that they lose the love and support of their families?

Although Rex is not my favourite of the Braden boys it was great to see that underneath his gruff exterior he did really have a heart of gold and was willing to do whatever it took to stand up for his girl.  And as for the chemistry between them, it was certainly hot and made for some saucy reading which might not be suitable for all readers.

Despite the fact that all of the stories so far have been predictable in that they get their man/woman in the end after overcoming obstacles along the way, I'm still enjoying reading them and cannot wait to see what's in store for rest of the Braden boys and sister Savannah of course.

Both books one, Sisters in Love, and four, Lovers at Heart, are currently free on Amazon UK.
