Books Read: Melissa Foster - Friendship on Fire (Love in Bloom: The Bradens, book 3)

Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break--working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and--just maybe--explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.

Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.

Josh and Riley's friendship heats up. Every steamy kiss and every erotic caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley's mentor accuses her of stealing the design.

Facing indisputable proof and the mistrust of her lover, Riley is not sure she can take the heat of life in the fast lane of the fashion industry--and Josh is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the career he adores.

Friendship on Fire revolves around the third of the Braden boys, Josh, who has made a name for himself in the fashion world as a top-class designer but after seeing his brothers Treat and Rex both fall in love he realises that the one thing that's missing in his life is his own perfect partner.  We met both him and Riley at the end of Destined for Love and it was clear that there was a spark between them so when Josh offers Riley a job in Manhattan it's finally her chance to make a name for herself in the fashion industry but not everyone is pleased that she has been given this chance...

Once again Melissa Foster has written a story that draws you into the midst of the drama, I loved the build up of their relationship and the fact that they wanted to keep it a secret so that it didn't affect their working relationship.  And I really felt for Josh when things were taking a turn for the worse as he was really conflicted between wanting to stand by the woman he loved, despite the evidence looking bad for her, and wanting to save his companies reputation.

Friendship on Fire had everything you could possibly want, love and romance, drama, rivalry, as well as plenty of steamy bedroom action.

The Love in Bloom series is a series of 9 books in total featuring the Snow Sisters and the Braden family.  It is possible to read each of these books as standalones as you can still get a feel as to where the characters fit in the family, in this case the Bradens, but I'm one of those that like to read book series in order so have read them all.
