Izzy’s determined to escape her troubled past with a new start by the sea – but flirtatious Charlie Jones is causing complications.

Emma’s relationship with David was once fun and romantic but trying for a baby has taken its toll. Then temptation comes along . . .

Firstly I'd like to apologise to Lucy Diamond and her publishers for the delay in reviewing Me and Mr Jones which I'd originally received last year but got caught up in my backlog, then had planned to review as part of a Lucy Diamond feature day last month but plans went a bit awry again...
When the Jones brothers are invited to lunch at their parents B&B, little do they know what is in store for them and how it could change their lives. Lilian and Eddie have decided that it's finally time to hand over the reins of their business to one of their sons, Hugh, David or Charlie, but which one has what it takes to do so.
Despite this being about which of the sons will take over the family business, the story is actually told from the viewpoints of the women in the family as we all know that behind every man there is usually a strong woman holding things together and that's certainly true here. We meet Lilian, the matriarch of the family, wives Alicia and Emma and the potential newest member of the family, Charlie's girlfriend Izzy. At first it would appear that Lilian is a bit harsh on the three other women but it's soon clear that she's simply a mother wanting the best for her sons and that the stress of worrying about her own husband's health is playing a huge part on her behaviour...
Don't let the fact that there are so many central characters to get to know put you off as they each played their part into making this such an enjoyable read. I loved the fact that there was so much going on in this story, each character had their own issues to contend with before they could even contemplate what the future might have in store for them. I really enjoyed Me and Mr Jones so would love to revisit them some day to see how their lives have turned out following the decisions they made...
I'd like to thank Becky at Pan Macmillan for sending me a copy of this book to review.
