Books Read: Nicola Doherty - Girls on Tour

Four girls. One year.

Five fabulous destinations.

Poppy is bound for Paris, the City of Love. Could this be her chance to end her epic dry spell?

Lily is en route to her cousin's wedding in LA, where she's willing to break a few rules to land her dream role.

Maggie can't wait for her romantic ski holiday in Meribel - until it goes seriously off-piste.

Rachel packs for a glamorous Roman holiday, but a blast from the past is about to sabotage la dolce vita.

The girls get together and fly to Manhattan. But someone's been hiding a big secret in the Big Apple...

Hilarious, romantic and unputdownable, Girls on Tour is an irresistible series of interlinked stories about four ordinary girls who have extraordinary fun in faraway places. Follow them in an unforgettable year that includes breaking up, making up, new jobs and some big surprises...

Initially published as a collection of 5 stories featuring 4 friends, Poppy, Lily, Maggie and Rachel, Girls on Tour brings the collection together in one package along with some extra chapters.  I'd already read and reviewed 2 of the books that make up the collection Poppy does Paris and Maggie does Meribel, previously so for me it was just a case of refreshing myself with their stories plus read the new extra chapters then it was time to curl up and enjoy the remaining 3 stories.

In each of the individual stories the reader is taken on a trip to a different destination with one of the characters, Paris, LA, Meribel, Rome and then finally the girls all come together to enjoy a short break in New York.  I'm not going to summarise each of the individual stories as I don't want to spoil it for you so I'll leave these for you to enjoy reading for yourself.

Although I loved seeing the places through the girls eyes and seeing what they got up to during their trips, what I loved the most about this collection is the girls themselves.  Nicola Doherty has created a great mix of characters, each of the girls had something different to offer, they each had their strengths but like most of us they also had a flaw or 2 too.

Overall Girls on Tour was a fun, enjoyable read that has a bit of everything in it, romance, heartache, comedy moments but the overriding theme is friendship as they were always there to support one another through the highs and lows.

I received a review copy of this eBook from the publisher via NetGalley.
