Valentine Giveaway: Win 3 books from the Macmillan Collector's Library

Today it's my pleasure to be shining the spotlight on the Macmillan Collector's Library, a series of highly collectable, gift editions of some of the best-loved classics.  These pocket sized, hardcover books are simply gorgeous with their gilt edges and ribbon bookmark and would make the perfect birthday, Christmas, Valentine or 'just because' presents for friends or family 😍

Thanks to Mary Kate at Macmillan USA I have a fabulous giveaway of 3 books from the collection, Poems for Love, Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre.

Poems for Love features an introduction by bestselling author, and Romantic Novelist Association prize-winner, Joanna Trollope.

There has always been love, and we have been writing poetry about it for over 4,000 years. A complex and truly timeless emotion, love – whether passion or heartbreak, infatuation or flirtation – has provoked some of the greatest names in literature to write verse of outstanding beauty.

From John Donne and William Shakespeare to Emily Dickinson and Christina Rossetti, the very best classic love poetry is collected in this elegant Macmillan Collector’s Library anthology. That we still read and enjoy these heartfelt poems today is a testament both to their individual genius, and to the enduring power of love.

One wild, snowy night on the Yorkshire moors, a gentleman asks about Wuthering Heights, the remote farmhouse inhabited by his mysterious landlord. He is told about the tragic romance of the beautiful, headstrong Cathy and the orphan Heathcliff, who - although desperately in love her - is rejected in favour of a rich suitor. But Cathy cannot forget him, and he develops a lust for revenge that will take over his life as he attempts to win her back, and to destroy everyone, and everything, he considers responsible for his loss.

One of the great novels of the nineteenth century, Emily Brontë's haunting tale of passion and greed remains unsurpassed in its depiction of destructive love.

This beautiful Macmillan Collector's Library edition of Wuthering Heights features an afterword by David Pinching.

The orphaned Jane Eyre is no beauty but her plain appearance belies an indomitable spirit, sharp wit and great courage. As a child she suffers under cruel guardians, harsh schooling and a rigid social order but when she goes to Thornfield Hall to work as a governess for the mysterious Mr Rochester, the stage is set for one of literature's most enduring romances.

A beloved classic and undisputed masterpiece, Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre explores class, society, love and religion through the eyes of one of fiction's most unique and memorable female protagonists.

This beautiful Macmillan Collector's Library edition features an afterword by Sam Gilpin.

I can vouch for how gorgeous these books really are as I have a copy of Little Women which was a birthday present from Linda at Linda's Book Bag last year so whoever wins this giveaway is certainly in for a treat.

As with all giveaways on the blog, this one is open to existing followers of the blog as a thank you for your support.  The winner will be selected at random when the giveaway ends and contacted for their postal address to enable me to pass onto Mary Kate to post the books to you. NB.
