As it's Valentine's Day I have decided to share my love of BookBandz by running a giveaway for this gorgeous red & silver heart charm Bandz handmade by Karen, check out her FB page here. But that's not all as I've decided that you cannot have a bookmark without a book so I'm also giving you the chance to pick a romance novel of your choice (up to the value of £6) - contemporary, romantic comedy, saga or historical - which I'll then order to be posted direct to you from either Amazon UK or The Book Depository.
Emma and I have come up with a few suggestions of books you might enjoy reading but as there are literally 100s of 📚 published each month, I'm sure there are others that are on your wishlist that you want to read.
The Endless Beach by Jenny Colgan
On the quayside next to the Endless Beach sits the Summer Seaside Kitchen. It's a haven for tourists and locals alike, who all come to eat the freshest local produce on the island and catch up with the gossip. Flora, who runs the cafe, feels safe and content - unless she thinks too hard about her relationship with Joel, her gorgeous but emotionally (and physically) distant boyfriend.
While Flora is in turmoil about her relationship. her best friend Lorna is pining after the local doctor. Saif came to the island as a refugee, having lost all of his family. But he's about to get some shocking news which will change everything for him.
As cold winter nights shift to long summer days, can Flora find her happy-ever-after with Joel?
True Love at the Lonely Hearts Bookshop by Annie Darling
Verity Love – Jane Austen fangirl and an introvert in a world of extroverts – is perfectly happy on her own (thank you very much), and her fictional boyfriend Peter is very useful for getting her out of unwanted social events. But when a case of mistaken identity forces her to introduce a perfect stranger as her boyfriend, Verity’s life suddenly becomes much more complicated.
Johnny could also use a fictional girlfriend. Against Verity’s better judgement, he persuades her to partner up for a summer season of weddings, big number birthdays and garden parties, with just one promise - not to fall in love with each other…
The Hygge Holiday by Rosie Blake
It's autumn in Yulethorpe and everyone is gloomy. It's cold, drizzly and the skies are permagrey. The last shop on the high street - an adorable little toy shop - has just shut its doors. Everything is going wrong for Yulethorpe this autumn. Until Clara Kristensen arrives.
Clara is on holiday but she can see the potential in the pretty town, so she rolls up her sleeves and sets to work. Things are looking up until Joe comes to Yulethorpe to find out exactly what is going on with his mother's shop. Joe is Very Busy and Important in the City and very sure that Clara is up to no good. Surely no one would work this hard just for the fun of it?
Can a man who answers emails at 3 a. m. learn to appreciate the slower, happier, hygge things in life - naps, candles, good friends and maybe even falling in love?
If you're happy for me to pre-order for book to be sent to you on or around publication day, here are a couple of suggestions of books being published in the next few weeks.
The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo (published 22nd February)
Every love story has a beginning…
Lucy and Gabe meet in New York on a day that will change their lives – and the world – forever. As the city burns behind them, they kiss for the very first time.
Over the next thirteen years they are torn apart, then brought back together, time and time again. It’s a journey of dreams, of desires, of jealousy, of forgiveness – and above all, love.
And as Lucy is faced with a devastating choice, she wonders whether their love is a matter of destiny or chance.
…what if this is how their story ends?
Million Love Songs by Carole Matthews (published 22nd March)
After splitting up with her cheating husband, Ruby Brown is ready for a change. She's single for the first time in years and she's going to dive into this brave new world with a smile on her face and a spring in her step. The last thing she's looking for is a serious relationship.
Mason represents everything Ruby wants right now: he's charming, smooth and perfect for some no-strings-attached fun. Joe on the other hand is kind and attractive, but comes with the sort of baggage Ruby wants to avoid: an annoyingly attractive ex-wife and two teenage children.
As with all giveaways on the blog, this one is open to existing followers of the blog as a thank you for your support. The winner will be selected at random when the giveaway ends and contacted for their postal address & choice of book to enable me to order book from Amazon (UK) or The Book Depository (International) and post the BookBandz. NB. Please do not add details of this giveaway to other sites without my permission.
