Everything was perfect on paper...
Jamie MacAfee's life is almost perfect. She's sure she loves her fiancée, even if she hasn't quite worked out why she won't set a wedding date and she certainly adores her job, working as an architect on their family home renovation show. Meanwhile, her beloved mother Caroline has built up her confidence after a painful divorce, working closely alongside her daughter as the very successful host of Gut It!. Everything is going to plan, until the lives of both women are changed overnight.
When the TV channel plan to replace Caroline with Jamie as the show's host, Caroline is left feeling horribly betrayed - and old in the eyes of the world. Then tragedy strikes, leaving Jamie guardian to her small, orphaned step-brother and fiancée to a man who doesn't want the child.
Who am I? Both women ask, as the blueprints they've built their lives around break down. While loyalties shift, decisions hover, and new relationships tempt, it's time to find out what they really want - and where their future lies...

Book Giving Day: Win a copy of Blueprints by Barbara Delinsky, Jihadi by Yusuf Toropov or Fix You by Carrie Elks
Apparently today as well as being Valentine's Day, which in my opinion is too commercialised these days, is International Book Giving Day which is definitely more to my liking... I mean who doesn't love to give and receive books.
I have recently received a second copy of Blueprints by Barbara Delinsky which I will be reviewing later this month and had originally planned to run the giveaway alongside my review but I have decided to include the book as one of the choices the winner of this giveaway can pick.

Source - Received from publisher to review
Have you ever wanted to escape from it all Where would you go? Who would you turn to?
Have you ever wanted to escape from it all Where would you go? Who would you turn to?
One Friday morning, Emily suddenly realises that somewhere in life she has chosen the wrong path. She needs to escape; from a job that is suffocating her and a personal life that isn't making her happy. These days she barely sees her husband James and their attempts to start a family have proven unsuccessful.
Realising the fruitlessness and misery of the life she has created for herself, Emily walks out of her office, turns her phone off, packs a bag and leaves New York. She doesn't even tell James that she's leaving.
But when a new path leads back to her past, and an old lover, a whole new set of problems arise. As Emily begins to carve out a new life, where does that leave everything and everyone she left behind?
