I was privileged to have been asked to be part of #TeamBea to help promote Miranda Dickinson's new book I'll Take New York which is being published on 4th December and be part of the Miranda Mondays features.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself Bea? 
I live and work in Brooklyn, although I'm originally from Northbridge in Shropshire, England. I own a bookstore with my best friend Russ - it's been a dream of ours since we met at Columbia University and we've been trading now for three years. I have red hair and green eyes and Russ tells me I a great friend (although that might have more to do with the fact that I'm paying for Chinese food next time we have a Friday night takeaway!) Oh, and I'm done with relationships. Nobody believes me (my friend Imelda and brother Stewart insist it's a phase). But I mean it this time. I'm going to concentrate on the things that matter - being happy, enjoying my life and loving my city - and save myself the heartache and stress...

Character Interview with Eve Taylor from Resolutions by Teri Riggs

Today as part of the blog tour for Resolutions by Teri Riggs I have a character interview with DEA agent Eve Taylor.

DEA agent Eve Taylor has had her fill of alpha males. When Resolutions’ operative and former lover, Dillon “Mac” McKenna, threatened her hard-earned independence, she ran. On a mission to gather evidence against a Colombian drug-lord, Eve discovers the drug-lord is helping terrorists plan an attack on American soil. Why are you running away from commitment? Why do you see it as a threat?
1) I’m running from Mac’s distorted idea of commitment. He expects me to be the ‘little woman’ who lets him tell me what to do and smothers me with protection. I prefer to pull on my big girl panties, play by my own rules, and make decisions for myself. Mac wouldn’t know the meaning of the word compromise if it smacked him on the face. It’s his way, or the highway. Fortunately for me, I have one hell of a fast car. 

2) I think it’s a threat to any woman whose man wants to put them on a pedestal for safe-keeping. 

Character Interview: Meg Jefferson from Johnny Be Good & Baby Be Mine

Today I'm interviewing Meg Jefferson who we first met in Paige Toon's Johnny Be Good and Baby Be Mine, and who'll be back again soon in Johnny's Girl, an exclusive short story bringing us up to date with her life with Johnny.  

Meg’s life has taken a turn for the perfect. She is the envy of millions with her drop dead gorgeous husband, their two beautiful sons and her new mansion in Henley. Her celebrity PA days are over. But desperate to keep up with her rock star husband, Johnny Jefferson, she uproots her perfect family and moves back to LA.

You and Johnny had a rocky past before you got your ‘happy ever after’ ending, what is about Johnny that you just couldn’t resist?
Urgh. He was such a shithead when I first met him, but a sexy shithead. There was something about him - and I'm not just talking about his looks - he's confident and talented and people are drawn to him. But once you cut past all the non-commitment crap, he's also very loving and loyal.
