I recently bought a copy of Emily Henry's latest book Funny Story but when I got home I realised that I already had a copy on my Kindle so decided that I'd run a giveaway for it so that a follower of the blog could read it for themselves. I then decided that I wanted to include some other goodies as well so bought this cute Easter Bunny bookmark on Facebook and then bought a Creme Egg bar and a bag of Squashies Drum Chick when I went shopping yesterday.

Blogiversary Giveaway: Celebrating 13 years of Shaz's Book Blog

I can't believe another year has passed since I set up the blog 13 years ago (technically the anniversary is tomorrow but I've decided to host the giveaway today). Although I'm personally still on a bit of break from reviewing (I've decided I'm probably going to be on a break for the rest of the year and hoping to resume reading and reviewing in the new year), I'm still hosting regular reviews from Emma.

Normally I would host a couple of giveaways, a bundle of goodies as well as a Halloween themed bundle plus a giveaway from Emma for a £10 Amazon evoucher, but due to increased postage costs I've decided to combine them all into one.

As it's Halloween this week it seemed only fitting to include a Halloween themed giveaway as part of this year's blogiversary celebrations but as per usual it took me until the last minute to decide what to include.

I can't believe August is almost over and in one way I'm glad that time is going by so fast but in another way I want time to slow down. Life for me is still a little up in the air which is seriously affecting my concentration levels meaning that I'm still reading very little so no reviews likely to be coming anytime soon. Fortunately Emma is holding the fort with her fantastic reviews and I'm hoping to resume some author features on the blog in the upcoming months to counter the lack of reviews.

As it's Easter I decided I couldn't let the bank holiday weekend pass without running a giveaway so I have bought a few treats for a regular follower of the blog to win. I already had the My Weekend is All Booked tote bag in my box of bookish goodies so bought the book and Percy Pig Easter party time foam gums and Milky Bar Mini Eggs chocolate bar when I went shopping yesterday 😊

I've had The People on Platform 5 by Clare Pooley on my Kindle for ages but I still haven't gotten around to reading it so I must remedy that soon.

Although I don't celebrate Valentine's Day personally I couldn't let the day pass by without doing a giveaway as after all we all deserve a treat or two.  

As I'm always buying bookish bits I already had the totebag, book sleeve and BookBandz in my box of goodies so just needed to buy a romance themed book and some sweets to make up the bundle. So when I saw Looking Out for Love by Sophia Money-Coutts on offer in Sainsbury's I couldn't resist buying a copy along with the Love Hearts sweets 😉

How is it December already, where has the year gone? It's definitely been another surreal year for me as I'm still working from home full-time which has its advantages but I do miss the daily chats with my friends in the office. It's not quite the same virtually or by messaging.

Over the years I have run a few Halloween themed giveaways so decided to include another one as part of this year's blogiversary celebrations but as always the hardest decision was what to buy to include in the prize bundle.

Valentine's Giveaway: Win a Romance themed bundle

I'm not one that normally celebrates Valentine's Day, or Galentine's Day as I've seen featured in recent years, but this year I decided to do a small giveaway as we all deserve the chance to win a treat or two. 

Regular followers of the blog or who follow me on Twitter or Instagram will know that I'm always on the lookout for bookish items for potential presents or giveaway so I already had a couple of these items but then bought the rest to make up the bundle below. 

Blogiversary Giveaway: Win a Halloween themed bundle of Goodies

Although I have had this Halloween themed giveaway bundle planned for a while I couldn't decide whether to run it this weekend for just a couple of days so that I could post to the winner in time for Halloween weekend, or whether to host the giveaway over the Halloween weekend which would mean that the prize wouldn't arrive until early November. So yesterday I ran a poll on Twitter to see what people thought and it was a close run thing but the end result was to run the giveaway today. 

Regulars who follow me on social media will have probably seen me post links or pictures of things that I've either bought or have added to my wishlist to buy at a later date. I'm always on the look out for small bookish items that would make great gifts for friends or potential future giveaway prizes. A couple of the items in this bundle have already been shared previously on Instagram and Twitter. 

Shaz's Book Blog is 9 today 📚

I can't believe that it's that time of the year again especially when this year has been such a strange one but I couldn't let my blog anniversary go by without doing a giveaway to say thank you for all your support over the last 9 years. 

As you may have noticed I have been struggling with reading and blogging over the last year or so but thankfully the blogging and book community are always on hand for moral support, both in good times and the bad. And on that note I want to give a massive shout out to my blog sidekick Emma to thank her for her friendship over the years and for her fab reviews... she has single-handedly carried the blog over the last few months whilst my reading and blogging mojo has gone AWOL... if anyone knows where it is, can you send it back my way!  

In previous years I have run a number of giveaways between the anniversary date until Halloween but sadly this year I can't afford the cost of postage for multiple parcels so instead there will just be one combined giveaway for this bundle below.

Blogiversary Giveaway: Win a Halloween 🎃 bundle

I haven't done a Halloween giveaway the last few years but when I was browsing for bookish items for my blogiversary giveaways I saw this Jack Smiley tote bag that was perfect for Halloween 🎃 so decided to buy it as well as a few other items as well to make up a giveaway bundle as who doesn't love a bag, book, bookmark and sweet combo 😍

I've decided to run it early to finish on Sunday night so that I can post the bundle to the winner to arrive in time for Halloween night (well if the winner is in the UK, might arrive after Halloween if winner lives internationally).

Sadly I am having to cut back on running regular giveaways on the blog this year due to the increased cost of postage as well as financially not being in a position to buy as many books or items for prizes.  Instead I will run a bookish bundle giveaway whenever I can afford to do one, and will do occasional giveaways for eBooks which I can gift from Amazon, but I couldn't let Easter pass without doing a giveaway 😉
