Her colleague Caroline – loopy, warm and exasperated by her, knows that Nicola’s reluctance to lose control means she’s living only half a life. And so she lays down the gauntlet: Nicola must cast aside her hang ups and go on as many dates as it takes to find true love in time for Valentine’s Day.
The pick of local men is, quite frankly, a bit rubbish. And there are only three months until February 14th. Surely it’s an impossible task? But, as Nicola is about to find out on her dodgy dates, letting go isn’t quite as scary as she imagined. In fact, it’s rather a lot of fun…

Rosie Blake's debut book How to Get a (Love) Life is an entertaining tale of the dating mishaps of Nicola Brown who is dared by her colleague Caroline to find the perfect date in time for Valentine's Day. What follows for Nicola is a right mix of blind dates, odd men and dating disasters that would put anyone off dipping their feet into the dating pool!
The kayak blind date set up by her brother Mark was my idea of a living hell and if I had seen that one coming I would definitely run the other way but fair play to Nicola she gave it a go even if she did nearly end up with hypothermia as a result of it!
And as for whether she meets the perfect man in time for a Valentine's date, well you'll just have to read this eBook for yourself to find out ;-)
How to Get a (Love) Life was the perfect read after a long day in the office to enable me to relax and unwind whilst chuckling at the misfortunes of Nicola. Yes, there was a little bit of predictability within this story but it was also full of cringeworthy laugh out loud moments too. A promising start for Rosie Blake so I can't wait to read more books from her in the future.
I'd like to thank Kerry at Novelicious Books for sending me a copy of this eBook to review.
