Continuing on with the feature from lunchtime, I now have for you another batch of wishes/hopes for 2015 for you and I didn't pay Emma to say what she did...

I've got big plans for 2015. First off, I want more available hours in the day! It's a big ask I know, but I'm going to streamline a few aspects of my life in order to have more family fun. My three kids are thundering through their childhoods and I want to enjoy every second so I shall become more efficient in my working life. I also intend to go to the gym (I promise . . . kind of).

My wish for 2015 is to find some fantastic reads. I read some great books in 2014 and I'm hoping this year will be just as good! I'm looking for a totally captivating read that has me one-more-chaptering until stupid o'clock or almost forgetting I have something in the oven (almost, because I like a good book but I also like food. And a non-burned-down kitchen). I want to fall in love with amazing characters and locations and lose myself completely in the plot.

So I was thinking ..... My wish for 2015 is for everyone to have a healthy, happy, safe one with the odd pleasant adventure! Along with my own personal wish which is to get my health back on track again after a very long two and a half years !!! (of pain and constant battle with my incompetent doctor)

My wish for 2015 is to find a job I truly love. I had a teaching job for some years but it was not my passion so I decided to quit to find my real passion. I hope the new year takes me closer to it. I also wish a year full of fantastic books, discovering new authors and new stories that take me to every little place in the world. I am looking forward to seeing what the new year brings! Happy New Year to everyone!

It’s hard to believe another year has passed and we are looking forward to 2015. I don’t normally makes New Year’s Resolutions because I know I will never stick to them and just find them a waste of time. So I think it’s nice that instead Sharon asked us to write about our hopes for the year ahead. 2014 has been a great year for me because I have gotten to indulge my passion for reading by starting to do reviews. Sharon has been so kind and generous in sending me books and letting me review for her blog and I have ‘met’ so many wonderful people through this that I hope this continues into 2015 as I look forward to reading lots of new and exciting books.
I hope to continue to be happy in my job as a primary school teacher, I never dread going into work (although I don’t like getting up early) and love what I do it’s so rewarding and even after four months I can see the changes and improvements in my junior infants. So by June I hope they will have come even further with all aspects of their learning (by that stage though I’d say I will be looking forward to my summer holidays and having a break from the demands of four and five year olds) and that hopefully I will be left in the same class with a different group come September 2015.
Of course the old favourite to lose some weight as I say every year, if someone could get me a gym member ship that would be great (I just can’t afford it ☹). I need to get myself in gear and get walking, my poor little dog is not great for long walks anymore, I’m so used to having him with me that I find it strange walking on my own. I suppose I need to get over that and get out there because I feel fantastic after a good long walk even if I sometimes ruin it by having a biscuit when I get home ☹. Hopefully this year will see me making some improvements – baby steps little by little ☺
Two final things - my sister has been home from Australia since August and has struggled to find a job despite having a PHD in her specialised area so I really hope she gets a job soon as it can get quite depressing being on the dole knowing you have the qualifications for a job but just want to be given a chance to show what you can do. Fingers crossed she gets some good news soon.
Finally to the wonderful person that is Sharon who has been such a good friend even though we have never met in person. I know she has been quite sick these last few weeks of 2014 so I’m wishing her a happier and healthier 2015 . Changes are ahead for Sharon mid- year so I hope whatever happens once you finish up in your job that you will be happy and content in whatever decisions you make and of course that will have a year filled with plenty of good books ☺
Thanks to Sharon for having me as part of this feature of hopes for 2015.
Emma what a lovely post I hope all you aim to achieve comes true and the same for everyone else. I miss teaching and loved my job.
ReplyDeleteI second what you say about Sharon and really enjoy being part of her blog. I hope this year turns out to be a great one for her.
Happy new year to you all xx
